Two men were injured in a shooting incident in the Baden neighborhood. The event unfolded on the 8400 block of Gast Place around 7:10 p.m. on Thursday, where officers arrived in response to a call concerning the shooting, according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
The victims, a 29-year-old man and his 31-year-old brother, were found suffering from gunshot wounds. According to a statement released by the SLMPD, the elder sibling due to his condition was unable to provide a statement. The younger man recounted an argument and fight involving his brother and a male suspect which escalated to gunshots being fired.
Emergency medical services promptly transported both victims to the hospital. While the 29-year-old is maintaining a critical yet stable condition, the 31-year-old was listed as critical/unstable. The SLMPD's District 6 is currently leading the ongoing investigation into the violent altercation.
The suspect involved in the shooting has not been apprehended and fled the scene following the incident.
