In a bid to repurpose rather than discard, the City of Chandler invites residents to partake in a unique giveaway where one's trash may truly become another's treasure. As reported by the city's news center, on April 3 from 9 to 11 a.m., locals can swing by the Recycling-Solid Waste Collection Center located at 955 E. Queen Creek Road to pick up various household items at no cost. From automotive fluids to camping propane tanks, the array of products on offer is a clear bid to encourage recycling and responsible disposal of potentially harmful goods.
Items will be disbursed on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limit of 10 items per person. Chandler officials emphasize the necessity of a photo ID and recent utility bill to confirm residency, as detailed on the city's website.
While Household Hazardous Waste will not be collected at the event, Chandler residents still have the option to schedule drop-offs for their unwanted hazardous materials by calling Solid Waste Customer Service. Toni Smith, Marketing and Communications Manager, is available for contact at 480-782-2701 for those seeking more information.
