The Cobb County Police Department has announced the death of Officer Anthony Cantoral, who died in an off-duty car crash. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, the department acknowledged the death in a Facebook post.
Details regarding the circumstances of the accident are limited. Prior to his death, Officer Cantoral was recognized as First Responder of the Month by Building Strong Horizons, as per the WSB Radio report.
The Cobb County Police Department's Facebook statement reads, "Our hearts go out to Officer Cantoral's family, friends, and colleagues during this incredibly difficult time. We also extend our thoughts and prayers to the other individuals involved in the accident." The department is providing support to those close to Officer Cantoral.
