A 38-year-old man was shot at 1107 Euclid Avenue NE in Atlanta during daylight hours. The Atlanta Police Department states that the shooting occurred yesterday, at approximately 2:19 p.m., with officers responding to the scene after being alerted by local residents.
Arriving units found the man with a gunshot wound to his right leg. He was conscious, breathing, and able to speak with first responders before being transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities identified a 24-year-old male suspect, who was taken into custody and transported to the Fulton County Jail for processing and holding.
The investigation, led by the Atlanta Police Department's Aggravated Assault Unit, is ongoing. Officers at the scene began investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
