Heads up, DeKalb County drivers: a stretch of Northview Avenue is currently closed to through traffic, and it will remain that way into early April. The county is installing important sewer and storm tie-ins near 1901 Eastfield Street in Decatur, an infrastructure upgrade that's essential for the community. This temporary inconvenience started on Wednesday last week and is expected to last until April 7, keeping the road shut down from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, as per the DeKalb County release.
In an effort to manage the flow of vehicles and minimize disruption, detour signs are already set up advising motorists of the ongoing construction work.
Queries and concerns regarding the roadwork can be directed at Myles Cardenas, the Land Planning and Development Manager for Taylor Morrison. Leading the project, Cardenas is available to address any questions at 480-915-3238.
