Yesterday morning, emergency services responded to a two-vehicle collision in East El Paso that resulted in serious injuries for those involved. According to KFOX-TV, the crash occurred just before 2 a.m. near the intersection of South Joe Battle Boulevard and Edgemere Boulevard.
The El Paso Fire Department confirmed that two individuals were taken from the scene to the hospital—one with life-threatening injuries and the other with minor injuries. The Special Traffic Investigations Unit of the El Paso Police Department examined the circumstances surrounding the crash around 1:25 a.m. Saturday, KVIA reported.
As a consequence of the accident, Joe Battle Boulevard was temporarily shut down in both directions, causing delays for the morning commuters. The roadway was reopened around 10 a.m., as noted by the Texas Department of Transportation.
