Eden Prairie is rolling out a curbside recycling pickup service for a variety of bulky items, as recently announced. From April 1 through May 30, locals can get rid of old appliances, tires, electronics, and even furniture without leaving their driveways.

According to a recent update from the city's official website, pickups will be available Monday through Friday. There are some limitations to keep in mind; items like light bulbs and batteries are not on the acceptance list, and everything collected must be free from hazardous substances to ensure safety and compliance.

The cost for this convenience isn't too steep: a $30 fee covers the pickup, with additional charges based on the item being disposed of. Interested parties can refer to the Spring Recycling Curbside Pickup Price List provided by the city to get a sense of what their cleaning efforts might cost them.

To schedule a pickup, residents should call Certified Recycling at 952-894-1448 during the designated times. Unfortunately, weekend warriors will need to plan, as the service is not available on Saturdays or Sundays. "Please put items as close to the curb as possible," the city advises.

As homeowners in Eden Prairie look toward a refreshed space, this curbside recycling program provides a practical solution for disposing of unwanted goods responsibly. It’s a simple yet effective initiative that can make a significant difference in community waste management and environmental stewardship.
