
Authorities in El Paso County announced the apprehension of a suspect who was wanted on multiple charges related to sexual offenses involving a minor. The El Paso County Sheriff's Office said that deputies from the Fugitive Apprehension Unit took 24-year-old Armando Rodriguez into custody following an extensive investigation into his whereabouts. El Paso County Sheriff Oscar Ugarte reported on social media that after checking several locations and speaking to various individuals, Rodriguez surrendered on Tuesday and was booked at the El Paso County Downtown Detention Facility.
The charges against Rodriguez are severe, including Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child, Online Solicitation of a Minor Under 14, and Unlawful Restraint. Officials have emphasized the gravity of these allegations, ensuring the public that they were committed to thoroughly investigating the case. According to El Paso County Sheriff Oscar Ugarte's post, Rodriguez was unable to secure bond, indicating the seriousness with which the authorities are taking the alleged crimes.
