A suspect is now in custody following a stabbing incident in Mountain View, reported on Sunday. At around 3:39 p.m., police responded to a distress call from the 2000 block of Claire Court, where they discovered a victim with injuries consistent with a stabbing attack. A statement from the Mountain View Police Department noted that the victim had been allegedly stabbed by her brother, who was restrained inside the residence before police arrival.
Officers on the scene quickly provided medical aid, ultimately yielding to the Mountain View Fire Department upon their arrival. The victim was subsequently transferred to an area hospital by County Ambulance for further treatment and care. Reports indicate that the suspect, identified as David Ahlport, was arrested seemingly without incident and taken to the Mountain View Police Department for further investigation.
Ahlport, a 42-year-old Emeryville resident, faces charges of attempted murder under Penal Code 664/187(a). He has been booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail.
