A tragic incident unfolded on State Route 85 near Buckeye when a motorhome crash resulted in one fatality and two injuries on Monday. According to FOX 10 Phoenix, the Arizona Department of Public Safety reported that the RV toppled in the northbound lanes at milepost 142 shortly before noon. Onboard were three individuals, two, of whom were transported to local hospitals with undisclosed injuries.
The aftermath of the accident was dire for one passenger, who, after being airlifted to a Phoenix hospital, was pronounced dead. The northbound section of the highway was closed temporarily as the authorities and emergency services dealt with the rollover. However, as the investigation is still in its nascent stages, no details regarding the identities of those involved or the cause of the crash have been made public, as stated by FOX 10 Phoenix.
Adding to the initial reports, ABC 15 confirmed the incident, specifying that the crash occurred west of the Valley. They further noted that all three individuals had been taken to the hospital for treatment before one was declared deceased. Per their account, the DPS is fully engaged in uncovering the circumstances that led to the motorhome overturning on SR 85.
