A tragic accident on northbound Interstate 25 in Larimer County resulted in a complete road closure after a deadly collision this morning. According to a release from the Colorado State Patrol, the crash involved an SUV that went under a semi-trailer near Crossroads Boulevard in Loveland, leaving the driver of the SUV dead at the scene. The distressing incident caused traffic to be diverted onto alternative routes, and the Colorado Department of Transportation's cameras captured the standstill as authorities attended to the devastation.
Troopers were reportedly already in the area responding to another crash when the fatal collision occurred. The Colorado State Patrol said in an X post that the second crash involved a semi-trailer and the Toyota RAV4 that went beneath the trailer. The identity of the deceased driver has not been released, as investigations into the cause of the accident continue to unfold thoroughly, as reported by Daily Camera.
Furthermore, the northbound lanes had no estimated reopening time as emergency crews and investigators worked at the scene. The dire situation prompted an advisory for all northbound vehicles to exit using Exit 259 or seek other routes. Local news reports such as 9News echoed this information and confirmed that no other injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
