Firefighters in Buckhead, Atlanta quickly responded to and extinguished a kitchen fire that broke out at The Americano Atlanta, a well-known steakhouse on the 3300 block of Peachtree Road, just before the stroke of midnight yesterday. As Fox5 Atlanta reports, crews managed to douse the flames rapidly, preventing them from spreading beyond the kitchen area.
According to Atlanta News First, despite the fire occurring late at night, everyone present in the restaurant was safely evacuated. However, the blaze did not warrant an evacuation of the InterContinental Hotel where The Americano Atlanta is housed, they were able to remain in their rooms as the firefighters extinguished the fire.
No injuries were reported in the incident, which was a relief to both officials and those connected to the restaurant. The cause of the fire is still unknown, and investigators are working to determine its origin, according to information provided by Fox5 Atlanta.
