Following the call, both GBI agents and a Crime Scene Specialist were dispatched to join forces with local detectives from the Quitman Police Department in their investigation of the incident. The gunfire resulted in serious injuries to two young men, ages 18 and 22, who were subsequently rushed to nearby medical facilities. As of the latest reports, provided by the GBI, the 18-year-old victim is still hospitalized and listed in stable condition, while the 22-year-old has been treated and released.
