The City of Germantown is putting its money where its community is, launching the third annual Neighborhood Grants Program. Residents and neighborhood aficionados can apply for funding of up to $5,000 to support projects aimed at connecting people, beautifying spaces, enhancing communication, and bolstering safety.
According to the city's official announcement, beautification efforts could include anything from holiday decorations to public art projects. For those night owls and safety hawks, neighborhood watch programs and security lighting are part of the safety initiatives waiting to unfurl their wings.
"Great neighborhoods don’t just happen - they’re built by the people who live in them," stated the official announcement from Germantown.
