Good news for thrill-seekers and winter enthusiasts: the Sledding Hill at Lake Waconia Regional Park is officially open for business. In an announcement made on their Facebook page, Carver County Parks invites locals to grab their sleds and enjoy the 80-foot hill complete with two distinct runs. Whether you’re in for a smooth glide or a bumpy thrill, this park has you covered.
The park notes that the hill is "Open Daily: 9 AM – Sunset (conditions permitting)." However, don't expect to rent equipment when you get there; you'll need to bring your very own sled and be ready to sometimes literally walk up the hill. According to the Carver County Parks, sled enthusiasts should make haste, as the trails "will not be groomed as the snow is expected to melt."
