Yesterday, two young men were injured in a shooting in Atlanta. Officers responding to a report near Memorial Drive SW and Pryor Street SW were directed to Whitehall Street SW, near McDaniel Street SW, where they found the wounded men, according to the Atlanta Police Department.

The victims, a 25-year-old male and a 19-year-old male, were both suffering from injuries to their ankles, having been shot in what to appear to be a deliberate attack on their mobility. Despite their wounds, both were reported to be alert, conscious, and breathing when authorities arrived on the scene at around 6:08 p.m. They were quickly transported to a local hospital to receive the necessary medical treatment for their injuries.

The incident is believed to have occurred at 689 Whitehall Street SW. Detectives from the Aggravated Assault Unit canvassed the area as part of their investigation.
