In Horizon City, Texas, a routine traffic disturbance quickly escalated into a DWI arrest last Thursday. Horizon City Police Department reported that a silver Toyota Prius had been involved in minor traffic accidents. It was found stalled at the intersection of the 400 Block of S. Darrington. Claudia Yvonne Baeza, the vehicle's driver, was apprehended by officers who responded to the call.
Allegedly driving while under the influence, Baeza was arrested and later booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility. She is held on a $1000 bond. At the scene, officers who were dispatched to deal with the vehicle reported it was at a complete stop—a not-so-subtle reminder of the dangers that lurk when alcohol and operating a vehicle mix.
