The Tennessee Department of Correction will host a Rapid Hire Event on Friday and on Saturday at the McIver’s Grant Public Library in Dyersburg. The event is aimed at individuals interested in becoming correctional officers at the Northwest Correctional Complex, according to the Tennessee Department of Correction.
The Tennessee Department of Correction is hosting an expedited hiring event where qualified candidates can complete interviews and pre-employment processes on the same day, potentially receiving a conditional job offer. The position offers a starting salary of $51,204, with the opportunity to increase to $60,720 after 18 months. New hires will also receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus. In addition, employees are provided with health, life, vision, and dental insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and eligibility for college tuition assistance.
The Rapid Hire Event will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, and from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, at McIver’s Grant Public Library, 410 W. Court St., Dyersburg, TN 38024. The Tennessee Department of Correction is offering immediate job placements for correctional officers. New officers will receive six weeks of paid training at the Tennessee Correction Academy, where "officers receive hands-on training in both a facility and classroom setting to ensure they are equipped with the knowledge and skills required for the position."
