Last night, local emergency teams responded to a structure fire in Strawberry Plains, as the authorities reported on its social media channels. At approximately 9:30 pm, the New Market Fire Department was dispatched to the blaze in the 300 Block of Northview Drive. According to their Facebook post, the first unit on the scene described the garage as "fully involved."
The New Market Fire Department, benefiting from the coordinated effort of multiple departments, attacked the fire with two engines, a tanker, and a crew of 11 personnel. The post also delivered thanks to the "auto aid group of friends and neighbors" that always put the citizens of Jefferson County first, clearly indicating that without their aid, the evening events might have turned out much darker.
