The Town of Jupiter holds local elections today, with community members voting for the next Mayor and two key Council seats. Candidates for Mayor include Jim Kuretski and Cameron May, while Phyllis Choy, Teri Grooms, and Andy Weston are running for the First District seat, and Linda McDermott, Willie Puz, and Malise Sundstrom are vying for the Second District seat.
According to CBS12, a candidate must receive more than 50 percent of the vote to win outright. If no one achieves this, a runoff will be held on March 25, with the top two contenders for each seat moving forward.
Voting is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and voters must cast their ballots at their designated precincts, as per the Town of Jupiter's Instagram post.
For more information about candidates, election procedures, or to locate a polling station, residents can visit the town's official election page or use the Supervisor of Election's precinct finder. Social media platforms are also providing reminders and links to ensure everyone knows where to vote before polls close at 7:00 p.m.
