Yesterday, a report of a possible break-in and shots fired prompted Knox County deputies to the scene, where they discovered a male individual deceased. According to the WVLT report, the incident occurred shortly after 1:00 a.m. The location was the 6900 block of Saint Croix near Dante Road.
Officials shared that the preliminary findings suggest a scenario of an isolated incident, stressing that "there is no ongoing threat to the general public." This information was echoed in an announcement by the Knox County Sheriff's Office on their Facebook page, a notable presence that keeps the community abreast of local developments. Initial assessments of evidence indicated that "the individuals involved were known to each other," as per the Knox County Sheriff's Office.
