A man was found deceased yesterday evening in the passenger seat of a disabled car, after being shot at least once. The Knoxville Police Department reported to the scene at the intersection of Riverside Drive and Dandridge Avenue around 7:30 p.m.; a release from the department indicated that multiple gunshots may have been fired from another vehicle into the car holding the victim for reasons that are currently under investigation, and the suspect vehicle is believed to have then driven away from the area, according to WBIR.
Further information provided by WATE confirmed that the deceased was pronounced dead at the scene, and that at this stage of their inquiry, investigators believe the unknown suspect's vehicle was responsible for firing the shots that led to the man's death, the suspect vehicle departed following the attack, though no suspects have been identified at this time however the investigation remains ongoing.
