As Knoxville prepares for the opening of Covenant Health Park, parking strategies are key to ensuring a smooth experience for visitors. Boyd Sports and the city of Knoxville have developed a plan that includes over 1,000 parking spaces for stadium events, along with shuttle services to make travel to and from the venue easier.

According to the WVLT report, the parking plan features a total of 1,500 dedicated spaces for the stadium, plus 7,400 additional spaces available throughout downtown Knoxville. Typically, planners allocate one parking space for every 2.5 event attendees. In terms of city garages, the Summer Place Garage offers 450 spaces for a $5 fee, with a free shuttle service running every 10 minutes to the stadium.

Langley Garage will provide 650 more spaces for stadium events, also charging $5 with a similar shuttle service, as reported by WATE. Additionally, Market Square Garage and Locust Street Garage will offer shuttle services to the stadium. For those with disabilities, 70 ADA-compliant spaces are available at Old City South Lot B, located right across from the stadium.

Covenant Health Park will have 1,500 spaces during events: 1,100 for the general public at a $5 fee, and 400 reserved for staff, vendors, and season ticket holders, WBIR reported. Boyd Sports CEO Doug Kirchhofer highlighted the aim to make the downtown gameday experience easier for attendees at various events, including baseball, soccer, concerts, and more.
