
A tragic event unfolded in Knoxville as a 16-year-old boy lost his life in a shooting incident, reported by the Knoxville Police Department. According to a post from the department's Facebook page, the shooting occurred around 12:15 a.m. on Louise Avenue. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered the teenager, injured from at least one gunshot, in the backyard of a home.
Police efforts to save the teenage boy's life were unsuccessful. Despite administering life-saving measures, he was pronounced dead at the crime site, as stated by WATE. Found in the backyard, numerous shell casings offered silent testimony to the violence that had occurred. As of now, authorities have yet to charge or identify a suspect in connection to the shooting.
The investigation into this fatal incident is being carried out by the Knoxville Police Department's Homicide Unit.
