Showers might make a brief encore before 2:00 a.m. Tuesday night before the skies begin to clear partly.
Midweek forecasts predict mostly sunny skies for Knoxville on Wednesday, with temperatures hovering around 63 degrees and winds that could gust up to 20 mph. The evening will see mostly clear skies, and a low around 36, creating a crisp and calm night environment perfect for those preferring cooler temps. The remainder of the week will enjoy sunshine, with Thursday hitting a high near 65 and mostly sunny skies continuing into Friday, pushing temperatures up to around 74.
However, the weekend may bring clouds back into play. Saturday's temperatures will likely peak near the 78-degree mark under mostly cloudy skies. As night falls, so does the chance of precipitation, with a 30 percent chance of showers on Saturday night, and lows dipping down to 58. Sunday ups the ante with a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms while maintaining mostly cloudy conditions and a high again near 78.
