A fatal crash on Interstate 84 in Union County has claimed the life of a Kuna, Idaho man, Oregon State Police confirmed. The incident, involving a single-vehicle, occurred on the evening of Monday at around 8:00 p.m. near milepost 277.

According to Oregon State Police reports, the driver, identified as 49-year-old Corbin Ronald Knowles, tragically died when his westbound Chevrolet Silverado left the road. The reasons behind Knowles' vehicle veering off the road remain a mystery as the vehicle rolled multiple times before finally resting on its roof.

Investigators at the scene promptly responded to the crash, leading to the interstate's closure for an approximate time span of four hours. The elapsed time allowed OSP and the Oregon Department of Transportation officials to conduct a detailed on-scene investigation, trying to piece together the tragic unfolding of events that led to Knowles' death. The operator of the Chevrolet was pronounced dead at the site of the crash, as reported by the state police.
