Lake Havasu City has announced the Second Bridge Project, which will connect McCulloch Boulevard on the island to London Bridge Road on the mainland. Ames Construction has been contracted as the Construction Manager at Risk for preconstruction services. This role includes assisting with design and ensuring the project stays within a Guaranteed Maximum Price, according to the Lake Havasu City.
The project, supported by a $35.5 million legislative appropriation led by State Representative Leo Biasiucci and former State Senator Sonny Borrelli, shows the city's commitment to improving infrastructure and adding a crucial emergency evacuation route. Lake Havasu City states, "The Second Bridge Project provides improved safety for citizens and visitors."
The Second Bridge Project in Lake Havasu City will include street improvements to South Palo Verde Boulevard and London Bridge Road, along with the relocation of utility lines beneath Bridgewater Channel. The project is expected to reduce traffic congestion and improve emergency response times.
