Lakeland residents, get ready for the Spring Community Cleanup Day on Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
According to the City of Lakeland, this event, hosted at the Public Works facility behind City Hall (10001 Hwy 70), allows locals to dispose of items not accepted by regular trash services.
To participate, residents must bring proof of residency. Accepted items include yard waste, mattresses, furniture, appliances, electronics, and more. However, appliances must be properly decommissioned with paperwork. Items such as oils, paints, anti-freeze, pesticides, herbicides, and railroad ties will not be accepted.
