The Petaluma Police Department made an arrest on Sunday, stemming from a call about a driver suspected of intoxication. The incident occurred on Sunday at around 2:54 PM after dispatchers were alerted by a community member to a driver swerving on the road, as per the Petaluma Police Department.
The driver, identified as 65-year-old Karen McFallMurray from Larkspur, was given a field sobriety test by officers, who reported her blood alcohol content (BAC) was found to be .28%, more than three times over the legal limit. Additionally, an officer noted a damaged street sign on Prospect Street and plastic remnants near the scene, which were later confirmed by McFallMurray as belonging to her vehicle.
McFallMurray faced multiple charges, including 23152(a) DUI and 23152(b) DUI with a BAC exceeding 0.08%. She was also charged under 14601.2(a) for driving with a suspended license. She was subsequently booked into Sonoma County jail.
