The City of Lawrenceville is inviting young individuals to participate in the Lawrenceville Legacy Leaders (L3) program. Now in its third year, the program, in partnership with Impact 46, is open to high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Applications are open until midnight, April 14, for students attending Central Gwinnett, Discovery, GSMST, Maxwell, or Phoenix high schools.

According to the City of Lawrenceville, L3 is an eight-month program starting in August, focused on community engagement and local governance awareness. Participation is free of charge.

The program aims to strengthen student success and resilience, while connecting youth with Lawrenceville’s government, non-profits, businesses, schools, churches, and neighborhoods. The goal is to foster community pride and create a more united city enhance civic understanding, and promote inclusivity.

Key objectives of L3 include workshops, speaker series, expanded paid internships, and youth-led events addressing community needs. The program also aims to increase school partnerships through the Summer of Impact Program to connect education with community service.
