A Lebanon man faces serious charges after a disturbing incident last Wednesday evening when he reportedly pointed a gun at several people, leading to his arrest on multiple counts, including aggravated assault and drug possession. Fox17 reports that after being asked to leave the Sports World property for acting suspiciously, the man escalated the situation by brandishing a firearm at bystanders.

The suspect was subsequently located by Lebanon Police Department in the parking lot of Don Fox Park, where authorities detained him and uncovered drug paraphernalia along with suspected methamphetamine, the possession of meth and the paraphernalia led to additional charges, in a statement obtained by WSMV. The LPD also suggested that the man might be an undocumented immigrant, adding a layer of complexity to the case.

The police action didn't end with the male suspect. Officers also apprehended a female accomplice present during the tense confrontation. This 37-year-old woman from La Vergne, whose identity has not been disclosed, was found to have outstanding warrants from Nashville and was facing a failure to appear warrant from Rutherford County, she was taken into custody without further incident, as stated by Rutherford Source.
