The Loudon County Sheriff’s Office has issued a call for assistance in locating 51-year-old Guy DeMasellis, who has been unaccounted for since late January. DeMasellis, known to have resided at the Lazy Acres RV Park in Lenoir City, was last seen by his acquaintances and has seemingly vanished without a trace, according to officials. In a statement obtained by WVLT, the LCSO detailed that DeMasellis was frequently transported to and from the establishment by a driver in a black Kia Soul, potentially a 2019 model.
The individual behind the wheel of this vehicle remains a person of interest, not due to suspicion of criminal activity, but as someone who might provide valuable insights into DeMasellis' last known movements. The local sheriff's department has been pursuing any and all leads with the hope that they might illuminate the circumstances of the curious disappearance. According to a WBIR report, there has been no evidence to suggest that DeMasellis' disappearance is tied to any felonious conduct. His physical description, as provided by the LCSO, includes his 6'3'' height and an approximate weight of 220 pounds.
Authorities are reaching out to the public, urging anyone who might have seen DeMasellis or have relevant information to step forward. This outreach reflects the fundamental reality that in cases of missing persons, the collective gaze is often as crucial as the investigative torch carried by law enforcement. Detective Khristian Kirkland has been assigned to the case and is the primary point of contact for tips. Those with knowledge about the situation are prompted to get in touch either by calling 865-986-4823 or sending an email to [email protected].
A sense of urgency underlies this call for public assistance; with each passing day, the trail grows colder and the window for finding DeMasellis narrows slightly. As noted by WIVK, "it’s been reported that Guy was often picked up and dropped off by someone driving a black Kia Soul, possibly a 2019 year model." The community's role in supporting the search effort is indisputable, as they keep their eyes and ears open, sharing any shred of information that might lead to DeMasellis’ whereabouts and, it is hoped, bring him safely home.
