Logan County authorities have issued a plea to the public, urging residents to steer clear of ongoing wildfires in the eastern part of the county. An evacuation effort is currently underway as deputies and firefighters work to lead citizens away from danger.
The situation was reported on the Logan County Sheriff's Office's social media, where a statement released at 4:23 PM yesterday urged the public to "please stay away from the fires in east county."
The specific areas currently under evacuation include the vicinity of Indian Meridian and E Charter Oak Road. However, authorities have not yet disclosed the cause of the fire or the extent of the affected area. In a recent update, the Sheriff's office emphasized, "Please remain away until all the evacuation orders are lifted."
