An incident in Walnut Park West has left a man and woman victim to a robbery, St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department District 6 revealed. The robbery, occurring on the 6300 block of Sherry Avenue, unfolded last Wednesday night, when an unknown male suspect confronted the victims as they were seated in their vehicle.
At approximately 7:50 p.m., the couple reported to the police that the suspect approached the driver’s side window. The 34-year-old man said his wallet, which was casually resting on his lap, was snatched by the suspect who then extracted the money and fled the scene, the SLMPD report stated.
Following the theft, the victims took action into their own hands and drove through an alley in search of the suspect. They encountered the individual exiting a vehicle, at which moment the suspect allegedly brandished a firearm at them before leaving the area. Police are actively investigating the episode, and the case remains open.
