Myles Cresse has been arrested after allegedly making threats to sexually assault the Boynton Beach Police chief and harm police staff, according to authorities. CBS12 reports that Cresse called the Boynton Beach Police Department's communications department, identifying himself as "Sgt. Cresse of the Marine Corps," and threatened to assault the police chief.
Following the phone call, BBPD's footage showed Cresse arriving at the department in a 2020 Silver Chevy Blazer, where he continued to express his grievances loudly. Officers attempted to engage with Cresse, but he fled through the parking lot and into the neighboring Quantum Community. The police were able to catch him and bring him back to the department for processing.
During questioning, after being read his Miranda rights, Cresse admitted to making the threatening call and acknowledged his behavior toward the police chief. He stated that he was venting and acting like an "***hole," according to the arrest report cited by CBS12.
This led to his booking on a charge of corruption by threat, as per the WPBF report.
