According to WREG, the Memphis Police Department (MPD) arrived at the scene near 31 South McLean Boulevard shortly before 6 a.m. to respond to an attempted robbery turned shooting incident.
One of the individuals, upon reaching his residence, claimed someone had attempted to rob him, their encounter escalating to the point where he drew a gun the suspect subsequently being shot during the physical struggle that ensued the man age 27, along with another person, were subsequently detained by the MPD, the specifics of the other detained person's involvement remains unspecified as per information made public. The injured suspect was transported to Regional One Hospital, his status described as critical by the authorities, FOX13 Memphis reported.
