A man has succumbed to his injuries after a reported shooting in South Memphis. The incident, which Memphis Police are actively investigating, occurred on Willie Mitchell Boulevard near Lucy Avenue, as detailed by Action News 5. Around 8 p.m. last night, law enforcement was dispatched in response to the shooting, where they found the victim with gunshot wounds.
Despite swift transportation to Regional One Hospital in a critical state by emergency services, the man, whose identity has yet to be disclosed, was pronounced dead not long after his arrival. At the same time, the area where the shooting occurred also sustained property damage from the gunfire, according to FOX13 Memphis. No suspect information has been made public, but the Memphis Police Department urges anyone knowledgeable about the crime to come forward.
