A man was discovered with multiple lacerations to his head in Kingsway West, following a distress call made to the police on Monday morning. The incident took place, possibly, in the vicinity of the 5100 block of Palm Street, and the call was received shortly after 11:35 a.m., as reported by Saint Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD).
Upon their arrival at the scene, officers found the 37-year-old male victim in the rear of the 5100 block of Palm Street. He was promptly attended to by EMS and taken to the hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. In their effort to ascertain the events that led to his injuries, the police attempted to interview the man at the hospital. However, he "refused to provide a statement and said he did not remember what happened," as stated by the SLMPD's release.
The investigation into this incident is still active and ongoing. District 5 officers are working to piece together the circumstances surrounding the cutting, urging the community to come forward with any information that may contribute to resolving the case.
Authorities are appealing to the public for tips and have announced the possibility of a cash reward for information that would lead to an arrest through CrimeStoppers.
