Violence occurred in Atlanta leaving one man injured in a shooting. The Atlanta Police Department responded to the scene at 2008 Campbellton Road SW around 12:42 AM last Saturday, where they found a 28-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his face. The victim was conscious and taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The preliminary investigation shows the victim was driving eastbound on Campbellton Road SW when the shooter, or shooters, opened fire before fleeing. The Major Crimes Response Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The Atlanta Police Department is seeking public assistance and urging anyone with information to come forward. The investigation is ongoing.
