
An incident yesterday left one man injured from a gunshot wound following a dispute over gaming machine credits at 220 Howell Dr SE. Atlanta police were summoned to the scene at approximately 3:54 am and found that the male victim had already transported himself to Grady hospital to seek medical attention. The Atlanta Police Department has reported that the victim was at a gaming facility when he stepped away momentarily, only to return and discover someone else using the credits he had left on the machine.
According to the Atlanta Police Department's news release, upon confrontation, the situation escalated, culminating in the shooter injuring the victim. Active units at the location subsequently cordoned off the area to systematically to begin their crime scene investigation. Meanwhile, other officers visited the hospital to gather a statement from the wounded man, aiming to piece together the sequence of events that led to the shooting.
As of now, details concerning the suspect involved in the shooting are sparse. The Atlanta Police Department has not released a description of the individual or information regarding any potential apprehension.
