Last night, a 33-year-old man was shot in Hamilton Heights. This incident occurred in the 6100 block of Page Boulevard. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, specifically officers from District 5, responded to calls regarding the shooting around 5:45 p.m., as reported by the SLMPD Newsroom.
When the officers arrived at the scene, alongside EMS officials, who attending to the victim already, they discovered the man with a gunshot wound to his back. According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department statement, the injured man, who is yet to be identified publicly, informed the authorities that an unknown assailant shot him and subsequently stole his backpack before fleeing the location. Unfortunately, a suspect description was not provided by him.
Following the shooting, the wounded man was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital by EMS. At the hospital, his condition has been listed as stable, reassuring those concerned for his wellbeing.
