Continuing his unverified academic quest, the man was reportedly turned away from West Hall High School in the neighboring Hall County. Using social media to contact students, he managed to meet up with them and even provided gifts such as expensive fragrance sets, further detailed in an interview Lydia Clark gave to 11Alive. Hall County Schools rejected his enrollment efforts after he was unable to provide the appropriate documentation and raised a red flag for being above the suitable age for enrollment.
Amid this unusual situation, parents and guardians have been urged to maintain vigilance regarding their children’s online activity and report any suspicious activity. Gwinnett County authorities have set up a confidential tip system called "GCPS Tips," which accepts information via a dedicated website or mobile app. On the other hand, Hall County officials have requested tips to be sent through their district's website or by calling a designated phone number.
The motives of the man, still not publicly identified, hang in a limbo of concerns that range from benign pretense to more nefarious intentions such as grooming or human trafficking. "I'm worried that he is grooming kids to be their friend so that something can happen," Lydia Clark said, based on revelations that the man with students at a mall without a readily apparent agenda, as obtained by FOX 5 Atlanta.
