A 43-year-old man has been taken into custody following a shooting that occurred in Benton Park West. Witnesses reported that the suspect retrieved a gun from his Ford Escape after a dispute and shot the victim. The suspect then fled in the vehicle. A witness directed police to the fleeing Escape, which officers later stopped in the 2600 block of Utah.
