A 50-year-old man was shot and wounded on Friday last week in Atlanta, prompting a police investigation. According to the Atlanta Police Department, officers were called to 856 Margaret Place NW at 7:51 PM after reports of a shooting.
When police arrived, they found the victim with gunshot wounds to his left arm and left leg. The man was conscious and responsive and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The shooting is believed to have occurred at 2080 Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway NW, but the reason behind the shooting is unclear.
The Aggravated Assault Unit is handling the case to determine what led to the shooting. The investigation is ongoing.
