Hey Medford, your Spring Break itinerary just got a major level-up with some local flair and family-friendly fun. The city is rolling out the green carpet with attractions for all ages, from the Medford Metro Reptile Expo to Hero Day, and we've got all the scaly, splashy, and heroic details.

Slide on over to The Expo's Olsrud Arena on Saturday, March 22, to get up close and personal with more exotic pets than you can shake a stick at. The Medford Metro Reptile Expo, according to the City of Medford's official website, will feature over 40 vendors showcasing a slithering array of reptiles. To absolutely not risk missing, don your explorer's hat from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Adults get in for $12, kids (ages 6-12) for $6, and if you've got kids 5 and under, they're lucking out with free entry.

Shift your Saturday plans to March 29 and celebrate the local heroes who keep Medford safe at The Children’s Museum for Hero Day. This event throws a spotlight on the Medford Police, Fire Department, Public Works, U.S. Coast Guard, and Rogue Disposal & Recycling - allowing kids to nerd out over trucks and other cool machinery. Sliding into the "admission deets," it's free for museum members, those below one year of age, or included with regular museum admission: $15 for children and a $10 bill for the adults.

If creatures and capes aren't your family’s jam, perhaps a dash to Rogue X will make a splash in your Spring Break. With an aquatics playground that includes water slides, a lazy river (which is, honestly, where you'll find me), and more, boredom doesn't stand a chance. Hit the water anytime between Monday to Thursday from 6:00 AM until 8:30 PM, slightly adjusted hours on Fridays and Saturdays, and an 11:00 AM start on Sundays. You're looking to drop $7 for adults, $5 for kids, with discounts available for seniors and military folks.

For the cool kids out there (or those who just like to be cool), The RRRink welcomes you daily from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM. You can ice skate your way through Spring Break with public skate sessions priced at $13, "cheap skate" (don't ask, just enjoy the savings) costs $8, with the little ones 5 and under skating by for $5, not including skate rentals also at $5. Lace up, because nothing says spring like chilling on the ice.

Last but not least, get the full blossom of spring by gallivanting through Medford’s parks. Whether you're chasing cherry blossoms or just need that aerial city view from Prescott Park, the great outdoors are calling. Like, literally - Donahue-Frohnmayer Park beckons with ADA accessible swings and paths made for wandering, open from dawn until dusk. And let's face it, the best part of public parks? Admission is always free. Check out all the green spaces here.
