Sergeant Holmes, an eight-year veteran of the Mesquite Police Department, brings a diverse background to his new role; he has served as a Patrol Officer, a SWAT team member, and an investigator in Criminal Investigations. Before his time as an officer, he spent seven years as a Detention Officer. The commendable breadth of his experience is underlined by the award of Detention Officer of the Year in 2016 and the nineteen letters of commendation he has received from citizens and peers.
Sergeant Iglesias's journey mirrors the commitment and progression seen in Sergeant Holmes. With over a decade under her belt at the Mesquite PD, Iglesias has filled roles as a Patrol Officer and an Investigator in Criminal Investigations, on top of a year spent as a Detention Officer. Her service record is also impressive, with her receiving fifteen letters of commendation from those she has served with and those she has sworn to protect.
