Last week, Miami hosted the inaugural Premier Padel event in the U.S. at the Miami Beach Convention Center. The seven-day professional event featured coed doubles competitors from around the world and highlighted Miami's growing reputation as a hub for padel. Local players also had the opportunity to learn from the pros through free clinics hosted by Babolat Racquet Sports at Ultra Padel Club.

In an interview with CBS News Miami, Jorge Nieto, a leading figure in the sport said, "I think it's really important for us to play here in Miami. It's a great city, also playing here in the United States, it's a great market for us. It's a great week here in Miami, we have the padel tournament and also the Miami Open." Jose Luis Sanz from Babolat also expressed excitement about the sport’s potential in the U.S., saying, "Padel in the USA could be bigger than Europe, so we see the potential."

Founded in 2022, Premier Padel now hosts over 25 professional tournaments worldwide. The Miami event provided a key platform for international players to reach the growing American audience, a significant goal for the sport’s expansion in North America.

The finals on Sunday in Miami were broadcast globally through the tour’s broadcast partners, the official YouTube channel (for rounds 1-3), and Red Bull TV starting from the quarter-finals, as per the Premier Padel official post on X. Fans can also access live updates via the Premier Padel app on iOS and Android devices, showing the sport’s expanding fan base and media coverage.
