El Paso's Powell Elementary School has announced Michelle Pringle as its new principal, as reported by the El Paso Independent School District. Pringle, an educator with nearly 30 years of experience, steps into the position bringing a wealth of knowledge and a history of leadership within academic settings.

Her tenure as principal at Rivera Elementary was marked, by a commitment to data-driven approaches aimed at improving student outcomes and increasing engagement with the community. Before her time at Rivera, Pringle spent a decade at the helm of Kohlberg Elementary, managing curriculum development, the mentorship of teachers, and the various facets of daily campus operations, according to El Paso ISD.

Pringle's educational career began in the classroom as a teacher and mentor, from which she ascended into the ranks of leadership, including roles such as assistant principal and instructional coach. With a strong foundation in curriculum development, Pringle is equipped with a Master’s in Educational Administration with a Principalship from the University of Texas at El Paso.

As Pringle transitions to her new role at Powell Elementary, she aims to reinforce academic programs and cultivate collaborative relationships. Her mission is to ensure that the school continues to serve as, a supportive and dynamic learning environment catering to the diverse needs of its students, "creating inclusive, high-achieving schools where every student can thrive," as stated by El Paso ISD.
