The incident occurred around 6:45 a.m. on Friday at Lafayette Avenue and Baltimore Street. Middletown Police responded to the scene, and both victims were treated before being taken to Atrium Medical Center. The man was pronounced dead at the hospital, while his wife remains in critical condition.
