The City of Milton has been recognized with bronze honors by the Southeast Festivals and Events Association for its outstanding holiday events marketing campaign, placing the city on the map for its creative and engaging promotional efforts. The association, spanning a vast region from West Virginia to Florida to Arkansas, acknowledged the city's campaign among the myriad of events it oversees annually in the Southeast.
A clever video featuring Sprinkles—a North Pole elf played by the City's Community Outreach Manager Emily Salerno—and Mrs. Claus, portrayed by City Clerk Tammy Lowit, headlined the celebrated campaign. Offering a festive twist, Sprinkles was seen in a "press conference" styled update when adjustments were made to the Pancakes with Santa event registration process, according to the City of Milton's official announcement.
In its efforts, Milton deployed an array of tactics beyond video, including engaging social media content, community emails, text notifications, and website updates. A combined effort by the city's team which includes videographer Oksana Solovei, helped drive the success of holiday events such as Christmas in Crabapple, Pancakes with Santa, and the Tea Party with Mrs. Claus; events which drew in hundreds of participants, with the latter being noted for its quick sell-out status.
Embracing the holiday spirit, the public's response was notably enthusiastic with overwhelmingly positive reviews. Hundreds of residents descended on the Broadwell Pavilion area to indulge in festive merriment, a testament to the campaign's effective reach, as detailed in the City of Milton's announcement.
